Place Value Print Out Review
A great way to learn and review place value is through the use of mystery pictures. If you’re in the classroom and need something for those fast finishers or to put in your centers, a Mystery Picture Print Out for place value is a great place to go!
All you need is either a task card or full page color and code sheet. If you use the printable Mystery Picture activity in a center, I would recommend printing out the task cards and laminating them. This way, you can keep them and use them more than once. Plus, if they are laminated, then they are easy to clean which we all know is more important than ever right now.
Includes a Google Forms Option

Like many teachers, you may be teaching online, in the classroom, or some combination of both. If this is the case, I include a Google Form version in the download. Students will love to see the Mystery Pixel Image colored digitally.
The image appears once students select the correct answer. They are prompted to go back and try again if they select the incorrect answer. Students are asked to rate their level of understanding at the end.
Rounding Out the Day
Another lesson you can enrich with a Mystery Picture is your rounding numbers lesson. Your students can create a mystery picture either online or in the classroom with this activity. All you need to do is watch the video so you know how it works. Then, add this to your early finisher folder or into your center rotations. Students will love creating a picture and you’ll love the review they are getting in math!

Finding something students enjoy while they learn is definitely a treat! Plus, because they are creating a picture, the students can easily see if they made a mistake. Therefore, these activities are not only great for reviewing but also provide an awesome self check for your students. As a teacher, if you see the same “box” being incorrect over and over again, you will know which skills you may need to review during whole group or guided math instruction.
There are so many ways to use these fun print & digital math resources! I recommend having your students complete the coloring sheet after they complete the 10 questions. This will be a great motivator to stay focused on their work. 🙂
